The 2013 Kane County Cougars team and field staff will be featured in a season-long web series through Comcast SportsNet's digital outlet, CSNChicago.com. The series, titled "The Foundation: The Story of the 2013 Kane County Cougars", is a bi-monthly online series that chronicles life in the minor leagues for the team and staff in its first season as Class-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The first episode will air Tuesday, April 16 at CSNChicago.com and links will be posted on the Cougars' social media channels as well.
The online video series, produced by CSNChicago.com's Jake Flannigan, Matt Zickus and Scott Changnon, will be primarily shot at the Cougars home, Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva. "CubsTalk" contributor Tony Andracki will provide an accompanying written piece for every online feature and Comcast SportsNet's Cubs Pre/Post Game Live host David Kaplan & Comcast SportsNet's Cubs "Insider" Patrick Mooney will also contribute to this series throughout the baseball season. Select webisodes of The Foundation: The Story of the 2013 Kane County Cougars will also air on SportsNet Central and Cubs Pre-Game Live during the year. Plus, fans can follow the network's @CubsTalkCSN Twitter handle for frequent updates on this special series.
The Cougars completed the first homestand of the season on Wednesday afternoon and kick off a seven-game road trip in Wisconsin this evening. The team returns home on Thursday, April 18 against the Quad Cities River Bandits.
