GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars have announced that they will hold a second Professional Wrestling Night at Northwestern Medicine Field on Thursday, July 13. Tickets are on sale now at kccougars.com or by calling the box office at 630-232-8811.
The night will feature an appearance by Hacksaw Jim Duggan. The WWE Hall of Famer will participate in a pre-game autograph session when gates open at 5:15 until 6:00 p.m. on the center field deck before heading to the field to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at 6:25 p.m. An additional autograph session will take place on the center field deck at approximately 6:40 p.m. for as long as lighting conditions allow, dependent on the time of sunset.
There will be a $5 charge per autograph, cash only, with a limit of two autographs per person. Fans will need to provide their own items to be autographed and no posed photographs will be allowed in order to accommodate as many people through the line as possible.
Hacksaw joined the WWE in 1987 and won the inaugural Royal Rumble by eliminating the One Man Gang. His victory over Haku in 1989 earned him the right to call himself the "King of Wrestling" and solidified him as a fan favorite. In 1994, he joined the World Wrestling Championship, eventually defeating "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to win the United States Championship. Hacksaw rejoined the WWE in 2005 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
Professional Wrestling Night will also feature Thirsty Thursday deals, presented by Miller Lite with $1 select beers, sodas and hot dogs. Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks show, set to 80's music, also thanks to Miller Lite.
