Hickory, NC- The Hickory Crawdads have scheduled a doubleheader for Saturday, April 15th and have opted not to play on Easter Sunday (April 16th). The twin bill will start at 5pm with the second game beginning approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
"We wanted to give our fans, staff, players, and coaches the opportunity to celebrate Easter with their family and friends," said Crawdads GM Mark Seaman.
The 'Dads will still celebrate the holiday on Saturday, April 15th with the Easter Bunny scheduled to make an appearance. In addition to Easter, the 'Dads will also be celebrating the official 25th anniversary of Crawdads baseball, as the first ever game took place at L.P. Frans Stadium on April 16th, 1993.
In honor of the quarter century milestone, the Crawdads are offering a limited number of doubleheader tickets for only $2.50 each, with one ticket valid for both games.
Tickets for the doubleheader are available online now or by calling the 'Dads front office. Single game tickets for the rest of the 2017 schedule will be available at a later date.
