'Dads Dir. of Group Sales wins SAL Outstanding Achievement Award
September 4, 2013

Hickory, NC - South Atlantic League President Eric Krupa announced the winners of the 2013 South Atlantic League Outstanding Achievement Awards on Tuesday, with Hickory Crawdads Director of Group Sales Kathryn Bobel receiving the Female Executive of the Year.

The award is the first for Bobel, who is in her fifth year with the Crawdads organization and her fourth in her current position of Group Sales Director. Her position requires her to coordinate with local businesses, churches and schools to help plan group and family outings.

"I'm very fortunate to work alongside some great folks, and the fans who come out to the ballpark every night make our job so enjoyable," said Bobel. "Being a part of this team and community for the past five years has been extremely rewarding."

The accolade is described as going to "a female who has made outstanding contributions to her club, to the South Atlantic League or to the baseball industry." The award also makes Bobel the South Atlantic League's nominee for the Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year Award, which is presented each year at the Baseball Winter Meetings in December.

"On behalf of the ownership group and the front office staff we are extremely proud of Kathryn," said Crawdads General Manager Mark Seaman. "She has a great rapport with our fans and her fellow co-workers. She earned this award with her hard work over the last 5 years."
