Prescott named SAL Player of the Week

Crawdads infielder hit .337/.382/.833 with 4 HR & 7 RBI

Hickory, NC- Hickory Crawdads infielder Blaine Prescott has been named South Atlantic League's Player of the Week for July 3rd -9th following his standout week at the plate that help the 'Dads take 5 of 7 games of the homestand and propel the team to 1st place in the Northern Division. 

Prescott, 21, hit .367/.382/.833 for an OPS of 1.215. The Texas native clubbed four home runs and two doubles while driving in 7 runs, and also scoring 7 runs himself over the 7-game stretch.

A 28th round selection by the Rangers in the 2015 draft, Prescott is batting .255 on the year with 7 home runs and 14 RBI. His 7 dingers lead all current Crawdads players.  

Prescott is now the fourth 'Dad to win an SAL Weekly Award, joining Kyle Cody (week 10), Yanio Perez (week 3), and Jonathan Hernandez (week 6).
