The Williamsport Crosscutters, Class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have announced the schedule for their 2017 season which begins June 19 in State College against the rival State College Spikes.
The 76-game schedule will include 38 home games against seven different New York-Penn League opponents at BB&T Ballpark.
The Crosscutters home-opener is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20 against State College. The 2017 home slate features a 1:05pm Independence Day match-up against State College. The Cutters and Spikes will face each other a total of 13 times.
Teams visiting BB&T Ballpark in 2017 include the West Virginia Black Bears (Pittsburgh Pirates) on June 21-23 & July 30-August 1, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians) on July 7-9, the Lowell Spinners (Boston Red Sox) and the Tri-City ValleyCats (Houston Astros) August 11-13. The season concludes with a two-game series at State College September 6-7.
Game times remain the same as in previous seasons with all Monday-Saturday home contests starting at 7:05pm and Sunday home games starting at 5:05pm. The only exception is a 1:05pm game time for the July 4th game against State College.
All-new 2017 ticket plans and opportunities on the Cutters new Premium Deck are scheduled to be announced later this month. The club's promotional schedule will be announced at a later date.
Once again, all Cutters games, home and away, will be broadcast on ESPN 1050AM & 104.1FM on the Crosscutters Radio Network. Broadcasts are also be streamed online at crosscutters.com
