Baseball America has published their annual list of the Top 20 New York-Penn League Prospects and two members of the 2013 Crosscutters have been included. The rankings come from a poll of all New York-Penn League managers.
Third baseman Zach Green ranked 4th on the list after having an breakout season in Williamsport. Green led league in home runs (13), doubles (20), runs (52), total bases (129), extra base hits (34) and games (74). He also ranked in the top 5 in slugging percentage and RBI's. Green was named to play in the NYPL All-Star Game and won the league's Home Run Derby crown while also capturing the Crosscutters MVP Award.
In addition, the publication named Green to their Short-Season All-Star Team while also awarding him Short-Season Player of the Year honors.
Baseball America ranked Cutters outfielder Dylan Cozens 9th on the list of prospects. He ranked 2nd in the league in doubles (19), extra base hits (30), and runs (50) while ranking 3rd in slugging percentage (.469).
Former Cutters named to classification all-star teams by Baseball America this off-season include: Triple-A; third baseman Cody Asche (2011), Double-A; third baseman Maikel Franco (2011), outfielder Domingo Santana (2010).
The Crosscutters finished the 2013 season with a record of 37-38 and led the league in home runs with 50.
