Jiandido Tromp hit his franchise record breaking 14th home run of the season in the 4th inning Friday night at Susquehanna Bank Park, but it was the only offense Williamsport could muster in a 7-1 loss vs Jamestown.
Starting pitcher David Whitehead (4-4) was solid for the Cutters, going 6 innings while giving up 3 runs (1 earned) and striking out 4.
Jamestown took advantage of the Cutters shaky defense in the top of the 4th inning. David Whitehead struck out Jordan Luplow swingning, but a wild pitch allowed Luplow to advance to first. Michael Suchy then reached on a fielding error by Derek Campbell. One out later, Chase Simpson smacked a two-run double to left field to put Jamestown up 2-0.

Unfortunately for the Cutters, it was their only run of the night.
Jamestown tacked on another run in the 6th. After a hit batsman and another wild pitch by David Whitehead, an infield single by Chase Simpson allowed Michael Suchy to score.
