All-Star Game Rosters Announced

Highlighted By Two CT Tigers

NORWICH, CT- The New York-Penn League and the Connecticut Tigers are pleased to announce the 2013 NYPL All-Star Game rosters. There are 18 position players and ten pitchers who will represent both the American and National League at Dodd Stadium on August 13.

The American League squad will feature Ben Verlander and Zac Reininger from the Connecticut Tigers roster, as well as the entire Tigers coaching staff. The National League will be coached by the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) staff.

Brent Powers (Vermont, A's) will get the start for the American League, he has a 4-1 record with a 1.85 ERA. The National League will start Miller Diaz (Brooklyn, Mets) who leads the league with 55 strikeouts and has 4-1 record with a 2.34 ERA.

The players will also be part of the festivities at the All-Star Gala at Mohegan Sun on Monday, August 12 at 6:30pm, and the All-Star Luncheon at Holiday Inn Norwich on Tuesday, August 13 at noon.
