NORWICH, CT- The Connecticut Tigers have partnered with Navy Federal Credit Union to celebrate America with "Fourth of July Weekend at Dodd Stadium". The Tigers start a three game homestand against the Vermont Lake Monsters on Friday, July 4th. The weekend is full of family fun and entertainment for all ages and is presented by Navy Federal Credit Union.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 4th with a special pre-game patriotic concert put on by the U.S. Coast Guard Band. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the one-hour concert beginning at 5:15 p.m. The first 500 fans through the gates will also receive a free slice of apple pie. The Tigers take on the Lake Monsters at 7:05 p.m. Friday Night Fireworks will cap off the night, presented by US Foods.
The two teams face off again on Saturday, July 5th at 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. with the first 1,000 fans receiving a Rajai Davis bobblehead courtesy of Navy Federal Credit Union. Davis is a New London (Connecticut) High School graduate and also attended UCONN Avery Point. He is currently an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers. Fireworks will light up the sky above Dodd Stadium following the game on Saturday as well, presented by US Foods.
The homestand wraps up on Sunday Funday, July 6th as the Tigers and Lake Monsters square off at 4:05 p.m. Following the game all kids will be allowed on the field for Kids Run The Bases presented by Ben & Jerry's and Have A Catch presented by Falvey's and ROXY FM 100.9.
The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2014 season tickets, mini plans, individual game tickets, and team merchandise are now on sale!
