NORWICH, CT- For the third consecutive year, the Connecticut Tigers, Class-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are offering a special ticket promotion in celebration of "Pi Day" (after the mathematical constant of 3.14159…). This March 14th between 9 am and 7 pm, the Dodd Stadium Box Office (in person, by phone and online at cttigers.com) will sell tickets and food vouchers redeemable on Opening Night 2017, each for the special discounted price of $3.14. Opening Night for the Tigers' 2017 season is set for Monday, June 19th as the Tigers take on the Tri-City ValleyCats at 7:05 pm with fireworks after the game.
This special offer will be the first opportunity for fans to purchase an individual game ticket for Opening Night. Individual game tickets for all 38 home games will go on sale in early April. "Over the past two years, this has become a very popular promotion and a way to thank our great fans for their support," said Tigers General Manager Dave Schermerhorn. "It's also a fun way to celebrate baseball season being back and CT Tigers baseball right around the corner."
