Curve to Celebrate Hockey Run with Penstoona Festivities

Black and Gold Hockey Theme on June 5 and 7 at Peoples Natural Gas Field
May 31, 2013

CURVE, Pa. - As the Pittsburgh Penguins excite the region with their pursuit of the Stanley Cup, the Altoona Curve will help fans celebrate the playoff run with the addition of "Penstoona" festivities at Peoples Natural Gas Field on June 5 and 7.

The Penguins will play games three and four of their Eastern Conference Final series at Boston on those two dates while the Curve host home games against Reading (Wed., June 5 at 7 p.m.) and Binghamton (Fri., June 7 at 7 p.m.). "Penstoona" at PNG Field will feature the "Penstoona Party Deck" in the left field corner with specials on 24 oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon "Man Cans", suite packages with tickets and food for groups, individual tickets in the McCartney's BizBall Suite, and a continuous score/time ticker on the videoboard - including a goal light and celebratory sound blasts when Pittsburgh puts one in the net.

"Our fans have shown us how passionate they are about the Penguins," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "We've seen how they come out to meet the players we've had here each of the last three years. So, we thought we'd help the fans celebrate as a community with some hockey-themed options as 'Curve, PA' becomes 'Penstoona' for a couple of nights."

The "Penstoona Party Deck" will be open starting at 6 p.m. each of the two nights with a large screen television, 24 oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon "Man Cans" for $3, plus other beverage and food options available at the Kunzler Grill.

For those that would like a private party or indoor viewing option, the Curve are offering their available rental suites for those nights with a special package. For $500, the 20-person suite with three parking passes and a $150 food credit will be offered. Each of the suites is equipped with Atlantic Broadband cable television, furnishings, indoor/outdoor seating and is climate-controlled.

Additionally, the McCartney's BizBall Suite will be configured as a prime viewing party area with a large screen TV (Atlantic Broadband cable equipped), high-top tables and regular seating, Internet access, climate-controlled setting, and available wait service. Individual tickets are available for $20 each, but are limited to the first 30 that respond. Food and beverage options are available at an additional cost.

All fans in attendance at the Curve games on June 5 and 7 will be well-updated on the Penguins-Bruins' action at Boston's TD Garden. The video board at Peoples Natural Gas Field will have a continuous score/time "ticker" present during the baseball games. Fans will know when the Penguins score as well with a large goal light on the video board and celebratory sound blasts played on the PNG Field sound system.
