March 21, 2013

CURVE, Pa. - With the highly-anticipated Pirates-Curve Exhibition game just over a week away, the Altoona Curve would like to make the general public aware of the following information for game day.

Gate Times: Gates for the Pirates-Curve game will open to Curve season-ticket holders only beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Those tickets that were given to season-ticket holders have a special sticker on the back.  Please do not remove this sticker as it will help determine who is a season-ticket holder that is allowed to enter at 11:30.  Gates for the general public will open at noon.

Parking Lots: The VIP Parking Lot is available only to season-ticket holders that have purchased parking included in their season-tickets.  Parking for the general public will be available in the parking garage, the lot at Galactic Ice and the lots down Park Avenue at Lakemont Park.  Parking for the general public in those lots will cost $3.  All lots will open at 7 a.m.  No tailgating is permitted per local ordinance.

A diagram of the lots available to the general public is below:

Tickets for the Pirates-Curve Exhibition will not be mailed and must be picked up prior to game day or the day of the game.

Food/Drink Policy: Per Eastern League rules, no outside food or drink will be permitted inside Peoples Natural Gas Field.

National Anthem: Pennsylvania native and American rock musician Donnie Iris will sing the national anthem prior to the Pirates-Curve Exhibition.  Please see the attached release for more on Iris.  Pictures are available upon request from the Curve Media Relations Department.

Miracle League of Blair County Participation: Children from the Miracle League of Blair County will participate in an on-field ceremony with both teams prior to the game.  Both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Altoona Curve are heavily involved with their respective Miracle League chapters and both wanted to extend this opportunity to the players on this year's Miracle League teams in Blair County.
