Baez was promoted to the Class A Rome Braves Monday after batting .340 in 25 games in Danville this season. He lead the D-Braves with a .395 average in July, recording 30 hits in 76 at bats. Baez also led the team with 18 RBI and was second behind
Hughes earned Pitcher of the Month honors after posting a 0.75 ERA and converting all three of his save opportunities in July. Hughes, a seventh-round pick in this year's MLB Draft out of Georgia Southern, allowed just one earned run in 12 innings pitched during the month, surrendering just 8 hits and 5 walks, while recording 14 strikeouts.
