D-Braves release 2017 schedule

DANVILLE, Va. - The Danville Braves have released their 2017 game schedule, which will begin on Thursday, June 22, 2017 against the Twins in Elizabethton. The season will be the D-Braves' 25th in the Advance Rookie Appalachian League. The Braves will play a total of 68 games, with 34 at home and 34 on the road.

For the fourth straight year, the Braves will begin the season on the road, this year with a three-game series at Elizabethton June 22-24. The Braves home opener will be on Sunday, June 25 against the Princeton Rays. All Danville Braves home games will once again be played at American Legion Post 325 Field at Dan Daniel Memorial Park.

Danville will alternate home and away series through mid-July before hosting their first multi-series homestand July 15-20 with three games against Bluefield and three against Greeneville. The Braves home slate will conclude with a matchup against the Pulaski Yankees on the final day of regular season Appy League action on August 31.

In June, the Braves' schedule features three home games and six road contests. The Braves will play 18 home games and 12 road games in July, with 13 home contests and 16 road matchups in August.

The 2017 schedule contains three league-wide off days on July 11, August 2, and August 16.
