Atlanta Braves Spring Training is officially underway, with pitchers and catchers reporting to the Lake Buena Vista, Fla. training complex on Feb. 14 and position players reporting on Feb. 17. Of the 60-plus players and prospects at the Major League camp, nine saw their road to Spring Training pass through Danville in past seasons.

Five former Danville Braves are currently on Atlanta's 40-man roster: RHP Mauricio Cabrera, 2B Johan Camargo, C Tyler Flowers, RHP Lucas Sims, and RHP Julio Teheran. Four former Danville Braves earned non-roster invites to Big League camp, including 2B/SS Ozzie Albies, the highest-ranked former D-Brave on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospect List (No. 10). Albies is joined by other non-roster invitees RHP Blaine Boyer, C Joe Odom, and RHP Patrick Weigel.

During the month of March, we will profile each of the former Danville Braves at Atlanta's Major League Spring Training in our #SpringTrainingSpotlight series as part of the #DBravesSocialSpring social media campaign. Fans can look for a new spotlight across the Danville Braves social media platforms on Wednesdays and Saturdays in March, with the final spotlight posted on Wednesday, March 29, two days before the Braves return to Atlanta to face the New York Yankees in an exhibition game at the new SunTrust Park on March 31.
