February 11, 2014

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 11, 2014) - The Winston-Salem Dash's fifth season at BB&T Ballpark begins in 51 days, and single-game tickets are on sale to the public. To purchase tickets, fans can call the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.

The Dash will play 70 games at home during the 2014 season, and fans can purchase individual tickets for any of those games. The home slate includes 32 weekend games, after which kids can run the bases. Each Friday night game precedes a fireworks show.

Tickets are available for as low as $7. Home Run Porch seats are $10 each, while select seats in the Field Box or the Infield Box are $13 and $15, respectively.

For the first time in the BB&T Ballpark era, Winston-Salem will kick off the season at home. Opening Day is set for Thursday, April 3, at 7 p.m. against the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Kansas City Royals).

This four-game series features the Dash's first Burger King Value Pack Night on Saturday, April 5. For just $30, fans will receive four tickets to that game, along with four Dash hats and four coupons for a Whopper combo, Big King combo, regular chicken sandwich combo or fish sandwich combo at participating Burger King locations in the Triad.

Most Dash games from Monday to Saturday begin at 7 p.m., while first pitch for Sunday games are set for either 2 p.m. or 5 p.m.

A full promotional schedule will be released in the coming weeks, and the Dash's Opening Day roster will be announced a few days prior to Opening Day.

Since BB&T Ballpark opened in 2010, Winston-Salem boasts the second-best home record in Minor League Baseball (171-110, .609). This season, the Dash welcome back manager Tommy Thompson, who led Winston to the best overall record in the minors during the 2012 season.
