WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Dec. 15, 2016) - The Winston-Salem Dash have announced the club's game times for all 71 home games during the 2017 season, which begins on Thursday, April 13, at 7 p.m. against the Buies Creek Astros at BB&T Ballpark.
Most weekday games will begin at 7 p.m., while Saturday contests feature a 6:30 p.m. first pitch, with the exception of June 3 (4 p.m.). New this season, all Sunday games will start at 2 p.m.
BB&T Ballpark will be the site for a handful of Wednesday matinee games. The Dash will host three 11 a.m. Education Days on April 26, May 10 and May 17 and one 12 p.m. Camp Day on August 2. Also, the Dash's games on Memorial Day (Monday, May 29) and Independence Day (Tuesday, July 4) will start at special times of 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. All game dates and times are subject to change.
The Dash's schedule includes 71 home games and 32 home weekend games (Friday, Saturday or Sunday). All but 13 of the Dash's 71 home games will take place after mid-May, while 20 of the team's 32 weekend games will occur after the final scheduled day of the 2016-17 academic year for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools. Since moving into BB&T Ballpark in 2010, the Dash have finished either first or second in both overall and average attendance among all 30 Class A-Advanced teams. Winston-Salem has also posted a winning home record in five of its first seven years at the downtown facility.
