WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (May 15, 2017) - The Winston-Salem Dash are proud to announce that popular NASCAR driver Austin Dillon will appear at BB&T Ballpark on Wednesday, May 31. The first 1,500 fans in attendance for the 7 p.m. contest against the Wilmington Blue Rocks will receive a double bobblehead Austin and his brother TyDillon, also a NASCAR driver.
Austin will begin the game's festivities by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at approximately 6:45 p.m. Additionally, a Richard Childress Racing car will be on display.

The Dash will also raffle off autographed items from the Dillon Brothers, with proceeds going to the Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma. With over 1,200 locations nationwide, the trauma center discovers and shares the best ways to prevent and treat severe injuries in children. The Dillon Brothers are hosting their third annual 3-on-3 Celebrity Basketball Tournament on July 26, 2017, to raise money for the cause.
Sons of former driver Mike Dillon and grandsons of Hall of Fame car owner Richard Childress, the North Carolina natives have put together prolific racing careers in the professional ranks.
Austin is building off a 2016 season that included his career-first Chase berth, highest NASCAR premiere series points finish and two wins in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. He will continue to run double duty in 2017 driving the historic No. 3 Dow/American Ethanol/AAA Chevrolet in the NASCAR premiere series and the No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet in the XFINITY Series.
Meanwhile, Ty is currently racing full time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and is embarking on his fourth season of competition in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. The younger brother competed in the event during the 2016 season and qualified for the inaugural Chase. He ultimately finished fifth in driver point standings.
Tickets start as low as $8 when purchased in advance. For more information, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.
