WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Aug. 11, 2014) - The Chicago White Sox and the Winston-Salem Dash have announced that left-hander Carlos Rodon will make his second High-A start and fourth appearance with the Dash on Wednesday night at 7. In honor of Rodon's first start at BB&T Ballpark, the first 1,000 fans who pass through the gates will receive a limited-edition Rodon baseball card.

Tickets for Wednesday's game against the Lynchburg Hillcats, the Carolina League affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, are available by calling the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or visiting wsdash.com. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. for Founders Club members and 6 p.m. for all fans.

Fans can also purchase tickets at the Dash's Box Office at BB&T Ballpark, which opens at noon each day this week. It will close at 5 p.m. on Monday and at the end of the seventh inning on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are available for as low as $7.

Rodon blanked the Potomac Nationals over three innings on Thursday afternoon in Woodbridge, Va. The Holly Springs, N.C., native struck out three and scattered two hits in his first start at the High-A level. In his three outings with Winston-Salem, Rodon has whiffed eight during his six frames of work.

The White Sox drafted Rodon out of North Carolina State University with the third overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft. This was the highest draft pick by the franchise since the club tabbed Harold Baines with the top selection in 1977.

MLB.com lists the all-time strikeouts leader in Wolfpack history as the top prospect in the White Sox system and the 23rd-best among all current Minor Leaguers.

The Dash's three-game series with the Hillcats begins on Tuesday night at 7 with a postgame fireworks display, presented by BB&T, and $1 hot dogs. For tickets, call (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.
