Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons established season highs in hits and runs as they defeated the Great Lakes Loons 12-4 on Sunday afternoon before a crowd of 8,614 at Fifth Third Field. The win as the Dragons third straight and lifted their record back above the .500 mark at 21-20.
The Dragons finished with 19 hits as every player in the lineup collected at least one. Stuart Fairchild and Leandro Santana each connected on a two-run home run as part of a five-run third inning as the Dragons built an 8-0 lead. The 19-hit attack was led by Santana,
On the mound, Dragons starting pitcher Adrian Rodriguez struck out four of the first five batters in the game and did not allow a run until the fourth inning after the Dragons had taken a big lead. Rodriguez (2-0) earned the win as he worked five innings, allowing two runs on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts.
