Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Kane County Cougars (affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks) in the last game of a three-game series. 
Season Series/Current Series to Date: Dayton 2, Kane County 0. Dragons on the Current Home Stand: 3-2.
Recent Performances: The Dragons have won three straight games and they are 12-8 since opening the second half by losing their first four games. Kane County has lost four straight games after winning the first game of their six-game road trip.
Last Game: Sunday: Dayton 5, Kane County 3. The Dragons scored five runs in the third inning and held on for their second straight win over the Cougars. Lorenzo Cedrola collected four hits to lead a 12-hit attack. Starting pitcher Packy Naughton earned the win, going six innings and allowing two runs.
Playoff Chase:  The Dragons must finish in the top two among competing teams in the East Division in the Second Half (six teams competing; Bowling Green and Lansing ineligible). The Dragons are in a four-way tie for the first and second seeds in the race, along with South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Lake County.

Greene Day: Dragons pitcher Hunter Greene pitched in the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game on Sunday at Nationals Park in Washington (1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 SO). Former Dragons outfielder Taylor Trammell, now with Daytona, was the MVP of the game, going 2 for 2 with a home run and a triple.

  • Packy Naughton over his last four starts: 27 IP, 17 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 20 SO, 0.67 ERA. 
  • Hunter Greene over his last nine starts: 46.1 IP, 35 H, 15 R, 14 ER, 10 BB, 54 SO, 2.72 ERA. Greene has made 16 starts. His ERA in his first seven starts was 10.06. Greene was selected as the Cincinnati Reds Minor League Co-Pitcher of the Month for June.
  • Lorenzo Cedrola , acquired July 4th in a trade with Boston, is batting .424 over his last eight games, going 14 for 33.
  • Andy Sugilio has four straight two-hit games, going 8 for 18, .444.
