Dayton, Ohio-Mark Kolozsvary hit a two-run home run and the Dayton Dragons battled back from a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Lake County Captains 5-4 on Thursday night. A crowd of 8,175 was in attendance at Fifth Third Field as the Dragons earned their second straight win over Lake County.
With the win, the Dragons pulled to within three and one-half games of West Michigan for the final playoff slot in the Second Half East Division playoff race.
The Dragons bullpen had a perfect night as Dauri Moreta and Ryan Nutof combined to retire all 12 batters they faced over four innings. Moreta (2-1) earned the win by tossing three innings and striking out two. Nutof pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning without allowing a ball out of the infield to notch his fifth save.
