Delmarva Scrapple Night Preview

SALISBURY, Md. -- The highly anticipated name change of the Delmarva Shorebirds to the Delmarva Scrapple finally comes to fruition on Saturday, August 18th. Here's what you can expect from this scrapple-tastic night:
SCRAPPLE AT CONCESSIONS
As one might think, there will certainly be different items containing scrapple at the concession stands throughout the ballpark. Scrapple, egg, and cheese sandwiches will be available at the pizza stand behind home plate, at the concession stands on the second level concourse, and the Bird's Eye Cafe on the third floor. Scrapple nuggets will be available for purchase at the Bird's Eye Cafe on the third floor. Scrapple Breakfast Pizza can be bought at the Pizza Stand behind home plate. Last but not least, Dogfish Head's Beer for Breakfast (brewed with Pork Scrapple) will be available at the Craft Beer Stand on the second level concourse.
SPECIALTY JERSEYS AND HATS
The Delmarva Scrapple will wear specialty jerseys that resemble the packaging of scrapple that you can find in your local grocery store. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game on the second level main concourse until first pitch of the 6th inning when the auction will go live. The team will also be wearing specialty scrapple hats that show a scrapple, egg, and cheese logo.
SCRAPPLE EATING CONTEST
Four contestants will have two innings to complete each round of the contest. Scrapple delicacies included in the contest are scrapple, egg, and cheese sandwiches, scrapple nuggets, scrapple breakfast pizza, and Dogfish Head's Beer for Breakfast (brewed with pork scrapple). The contestant that can last the longest will take home a special Delmarva Scrapple Prize Pack.
SCRAPPLE CARVING CONTEST
Four contestants will mold their scrapple into art. The crowd favorite will be the winner and will take home a special Delmarva Scrapple Prize Pack.
SCRAPPLE THEMED IN BETWEEN INNING CONTESTS
There will be special in between inning contests themed around scrapple, including scrapple cornhole toss and scrapple trivia. For cornhole, contestants will play a game of cornhole but instead of bean bags, they will be tossing scrapple packages.
DELMARVA SCRAPPLE MERCHANDISE
Exclusive Delmarva Scrapple merchandise, including on field hats, are available for purchase in the Flock Shop on the second level concourse.
