Meet "Squints" & Enjoy Fireworks!

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds will begin a five game series over four days with the Lakewood BlueClaws (affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) that will run from Friday, May 25th through Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th. The homestand includes a celebrity appearance, fireworks, a single admission doubleheader, and 2 Buck Monday.
The homestand kicks off on Friday, May 25th with an appearance from Chauncey Leopardi, also known as Michael "Squints" Palledorous in the iconic movie, The Sandlot. Leopardi will be on hand at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium to help the Shorebirds celebrate the film's 25th Anniversary. Leopardi is scheduled to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, sign autographs, and take pictures with fans. May 25th is also a Froggy 99.9 Big Beer Friday with 32 oz. drafts of Miller Lite and Coors Light on sale for $6 each. The Shorebirds will be sporting their Orange Friday jerseys and they invite fans to wear orange to show their support. First pitch against the Lakewood BlueClaws is scheduled for 7:05 PM with gates opening at 6:00 PM.
Gates open at 4:00 PM for fans to watch batting practice on Saturday, May 26th. Along with the opportunity to watch batting practice, happy hour discounts on beverages and snack items will be available at the Pizza Stand located on the first level concourse behind home plate. From 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, fans can purchase slices of pizza and small popcorn for $1 each. Draft beers can be purchased by fans age 21 or older for $5 each. Inflatable games will be free of charge from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Also, two Shorebirds players will be available to sign autographs in the Flock Shop before each Saturday home game from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Make sure to stick around after the game on Saturday, May 26th for a fantastic Q105 fireworks show. First pitch against the Lakewood BlueClaws is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The Shorebirds will host a single admission doubleheader on Sunday, May 27th due to a postponed game in Lakewood earlier this season. The doubleheader will consist of two 7 inning games with the second game beginning approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. May 27th is a Perdue Strike Out Hunger Sunday. Fans can bring two canned food items to the Shorebirds box office and receive an upper reserved ticket for $3. All collected items will be donated to the local area food banks. Kids can run the bases after the game, presented by Chili's Grill & Bar. Gates open at noon with first pitch for game one against the Lakewood BlueClaws scheduled for 1:05 PM.
Celebrate Memorial Day with the Shorebirds! Monday, May 28th is 47 ABC 2 Buck Monday, presented by Wicomico Heating & Air Conditioning. Enjoy $2 Upper Reserved tickets, $2 hotdogs, and $2 fountain Pepsi products. This game is included in the Shorebirds' Silver Slugger Membership, presented by Peninsula Home Care. Gates open at 1:00 PM with first pitch against the Lakewood BlueClaws scheduled for 2:05 PM.
