AUBURN, NY - The Doubledays (6-8) won in spectacular fashion as Bryan Lippincott's 3-run home run capped Auburn's comeback win against the Batavia Muckdogs (6-7) Tuesday night.

Heading into the ninth inning, the Doubledays trailed by a deficit of 5 to 1 before Austin Chubb sparked the rally with his one out double. Followed by a Cody Dent single, Greg Zebrack brought home a run on a fielder's choice groundout leaving just him on first base, and the score 5 to 2.

Auburn's leadoff man Issac Ballou then continued the momentum by shooting a single out into left field. Shortly after, Wilmer Difo doubled to centerfield scoring Zebrack from second base, cutting the lead to just two runs.

Representing the winning run as he stepped up to the plate, Bryan Lippincott watched two balls outside of the zone before smashing a three run homer to win the game for the Doubledays with a final score of 6 to 5. He finished the night going one-for-five and tallying four RBI's.

As he made it around third base, both rowdy teammates and loud cheers from fans met Lippincott at home plate.

The Doubledays duplicated their largest comeback of the season with Tuesday's victory and won the first game of the series due to Monday's rain postponing in Batavia.

Auburn travels back to Dwyer Stadium in Batavia tomorrow to continue the series against the Muckdogs. Wednesday's first pitch is set at 7:05pm.

The Doubledays will be home again on July 4th, when they will be taking on the Jamestown Jammers. The Dollar Thursday promotion will be taking place, as well as the annual fireworks show immediately following the game.
