Announcing "Farm Team" Identity

Kinston, North Carolina - The Down East Wood Ducks announced a new team identity that will be used as part of Agriculture/Farm Appreciation Weekend that is scheduled for June 6-8^th vs. the Frederick Keys. The team is in the process of finalizing the logo and jersey for the new identity and will unveil them on March 19^th along with the identity, logo and jersey they will wear for the Copa Series that they are a part of in 2019.  
The Wood Ducks' "Farm Team" name will be the Kinston Collard Greens.    A number of activities are still being planned and scheduled for the "Farm Appreciation Weekend" but fans could expect to see a pop up farmer's market and interact with local farmers that offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs. CSAs allow people to support local farms by purchasing their fruits, vegetables, eggs and even meat directly from local farmers.
"More than any other item, Collard Greens are associated with the rich history of agriculture and farming in Eastern North Carolina so we felt like it was a great "Farm Team" identity for the Wood Ducks to use to celebrate the men and women that are working in the industry" said Wood Ducks/Collard Greens Vice President, Wade Howell.   "I am really excited about the events of the weekend and also for fans to see the logo and jersey the team will wear. We will also have Kinston Collard Greens merchandise available for fans during the season".
Agriculture/Farm Appreciation Weekend is part of the 2019 promotional schedule that will be released later today. 
The Wood Ducks had previously announced that 2019 Season Tickets are on sale. Reserved Grandstand season tickets are available for $370 per seat and includes tickets to all 71 home games. Season tickets can be purchased online at www.woodducksbaseball.com, by calling the Wood Ducks Team Offices at 252-686-5172 or in the Wood Ducks Team Offices located at Grainger Stadium (Mon-Fri - 9am-5pm).
