Davis clobbered the first pitch he saw from Perez in the third inning for a solo shot off of the batter's eye in center. The swing cut into the lead 4-1, but it would be the closest the Woodies got. Cordero's double in the fifth brought home Chuck Leblanc from first as the Woodies trailed 5-2.
Both pitching staffs took control the rest of the game as there were only eight runners left on base combined. With the loss, the DEWDs fall to 2.5 games back of first place with ten games to go in the first half.
