Tuesday, April 17
  • The Mini Dugout Dancers return to Fifth Third Field for the second time in 2018.
  • The National Anthem will be performed by the Sidney High School Chamber Choir.
  • The Dragons MVP Program will be holding its fifth MVP night of the 2015 season, recognizing 4th and 5th grade MVP winners from Montgomery County.
  • The Dragons will be honoring a Dragons MVP Program Top Teacher Award recipient, presented by Wright State University's College of Education and Human Resources.

Wednesday, April 18
  • Home Run for Life presented by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. JD Shope will take a lap around the bases in front of a sold-out crowd at Fifth Third Field.
  • Fairlawn Local Schools will perform the National Anthem.
  • The Dragons MVP Program will continue recognizing 4th and 5th grade MVP winners from Montgomery County by holding its sixth MVP Night of the 2018 season.
  • The Dragon Wagon, presented by Miami Valley Gaming, will be on display before and during the game. The winner of the car won't be announced until August 25th.
  • The Dragons will host the first field trip program of the year. Field trips to Fifth Third Field include a tour, running the bases, lunch and a ticket to a Dragons game. It's a great program for summer camps or day cares, call 228-BATS or visit daytondragons.com for more information.

Thursday, April 19
  • The National Anthem will be performed by Trebein Elementary School.
  • Tecumseh High School Air Force Jr. ROTC will serve as the honor guard.
  • Spotlight on Dayton-The Dayton Dance Conservatory Tap will be the first Spotlight on Dayton in 2018 at Fifth Third Field to perform on the dugouts during the game.
  • First Season Ticket Giveaway-All 70-game plan season ticket holders can pick up their winter hat at the Dayton Daily News Customer Service Booth with a voucher.
  • Roosters Roadshow returns to Fifth Third Field for free wing sampling in the main plaza starting at 5:30 p.m. prior to the game.
  • The Dragons MVP Program will close out the homestand by recognizing 4th and 5th grade MVP winners from Warren County in the seventh MVP Night of the 2018 season.

Dragons On The Field


  • The Dragons continue the home portion of their 19th season at Fifth Third Field having sold out 1,252 consecutive games. The average attendance over the first homestand of the season was 7,581 to lead all Class-A baseball.
  • The Dragons will enter the homestand with a five-game winning streak and an overall record of 5-3. They have not played since Thursday, April 12 due to three straight postponements at the Great Lakes Loons.
  • The Dragons have six players on Baseball America's Top 30 Reds Prospects list. This group is led by Reds number-two overall pick in the 2017 draft Hunter Greene. Greene is the second-rated prospect in the organization behind former Dragon Nick Senzel. Other top prospects on the Dragons roster include middle infielders Jeter Downs (#11 prospect) and Jose Garcia (#12). Outfielders Stuart Fairchild (#16) and Miles Gordon (#26) have shown versatility around the outfield this season. Packy Naughton (#28) is the lone left-handed pitcher on the Dragons roster.
  • Former Dragons player and hitting coach Luis Bolivar returns for his second eyar as manager. Former major leaguers Daryle Ward and Kevin Mahar return for their second seasons as hitting coach and bench coach, respectively. Former major league pitcher Seth Etherton joins the staff as pitching coach after spending last season in that role with the Billings Mustangs, short-season affiliate of the Reds.
