Drillers Set Arizona Spring Schedule

Tulsa to play 14 exhibition games this spring

The 2013 Tulsa Drillers spring training schedule has been released. The Drillers will play 14 exhibition games in Arizona this spring, beginning with a meeting against the Midland RockHounds on Wednesday, March 13.

Like their parent club, the Colorado Rockies, the Drillers will train for the regular season at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick complex near Scottsdale.

The Drillers' spring schedule is similar to last year's slate, as it will again feature the RockHounds, Arkansas Travelers, Mobile BayBears, Richmond Flying Squirrels, and Tennessee Smokies. The Travelers are Texas League North Division rivals of the Drillers, while the RockHounds hail from the Texas League South.

Most of the spring games are scheduled to begin at 3:00PM CST and will be played at training complexes in the greater Phoenix area.

The Drillers' final game in Arizona will be Friday, March 30 against the RockHounds.

On April 4, Tulsa will begin the 2013 regular season with a six-game road trip down south to face the San Antonio Missions (April 4-6) and the Corpus Christi Hooks (April 7-9). The Drillers' home opener is scheduled for April 11 when they will host the Missions at ONEOK Field.
