Tulsa Drillers catcher Kyle Farmer has recently been as hot as anyone in professional baseball, and he has now been recognized for his strong play. Farmer has been named the Texas League Player of the Week after helping the Drillers to a season-best four game winning streak.

For the week of May 8-14, Farmer batted .632 with a .667 on-base percentage and a .789 slugging percentage. His big week has moved him among the Texas League leaders in batting average and on-base percentage.

In one two-game stretch last week, Farmer was a combined 7-8.

For the season, he is now hitting .314 with 8 extra-base hits and 17 runs scored and a .402 on-base percentage.
