Carlos Febles Added To Red Sox Coaching Staff

As part of the shuffling of the coaching staff for the 2018 season, the Boston Red Sox have named Carlos Febles as the new third base coach and infield instructor. 
Febles served as the manager of the Greenville Drive in 2012 and 2013, and during his time in Greenville, he assisted in the development of major leaguers such as Mookie Betts , Garin Cecchini , and Blake Swihart . This will be his first full-time major league role as a coach.
The 41 year-old first joined the Red Sox organization in 2004 as a player with the Pawtucket Red Sox, and he began his minor league coaching career with Boston in 2007. His first managerial role was in 2011 with the Lowell Spinners, and following his two seasons in Greenville, he served as the manager for A-Salem in 2014-15 and in AA-Portland the past two seasons.
Febles spent the duration of his six-year major league playing career with the Kansas City Royals from 1998-2003.
