Greenville, SC - Tuesday night's celebration of Greenville at Fluor Field was spoiled on the field by the Asheville Tourists, who pulled away in the middle innings for a 9-0 victory.

After taking a 1-0 lead in the third, the Tourists (22-16, 51-55) followed up in the top half of the fourth with four more runs off Drive starter Darwinzon Hernandez (3-3). Bobby Wernes and Max George both slapped RBI singles, and Jacob Bosiokovic drilled a two-run home run over the Green Monster to add to the lead.

Asheville's five pitchers silenced the Drive hitters in tonight's shut out. Starter Matt Dennis (6-2) earned the win after throwing five innings and surrendering just two hits.

Steven Reveles led Greenville (17-20, 58-48) with two hits this evening, and he has hit safely in six of his last seven contests.

The Drive bullpen kept the Tourists scoreless over the final few innings of the game. In his Greenville debut, Jared Oliver struck out two in an inning and two-thirds, while Matthew Gorst followed with two scoreless frames.

The final game of the series is set for 7:05 on Wednesday night at Fluor Field. Left-hander Jay Groome (1-4, 10.13) will throw for the Drive, and he will face off against Tourists right-hander Erick Julio (4-9, 4.98).
