Greenville, SC - The Greenville Drive gave the Asheville Tourists double the trouble on Thursday night by sweeping a pair of games in front of 5,165 fans at Fluor Field. The Drive won the opener 10-3 while taking the nightcap by a 3-1 score.

Thursday marked the Drive's (26-13) second consecutive doubleheader sweep dating back to last season, when Greenville swept Charleston in a pair of games on August 6th.
The Drive offense continued its recent hot stretch in the opener by collecting 12 hits. They tagged Tourists (17-22) starter
With the score tied at 1-1 in the third, the Drive erupted for four runs to take the lead for good.
Five more runs in the sixth provided even more cushion, as Espinal,
Mike Shawaryn (3-2) picked up the win in the opener, as he struck out five over six innings while allowing just two runs. Both of Asheville's runs came on solo homers, with Vince Fernandez hitting one in the first and Jose Gomez adding one in the fifth.

The nightcap saw
An Asheville error in the bottom of the first put the Drive ahead 1-0, and after Willie Abreu's long solo homer in the second tied the game, the Drive plated two runs in the third off Ty Culbreth (1-2).
Madera and Scott each had two hits in the nightcap for Greenville.
