Mill League Night is July 17th

Drive set to play as "Brandon Mill"
July 9, 2013

The Greenville Drive's annual Mill League Night, celebrating Greenville and the Upstate's rich heritage of textile baseball will be Wednesday, July 17th at Fluor Field. The Drive will wear throwback-style uniforms, playing as "Brandon Mill" for the game.

Brandon Mill is one of the most well-known mills during the textile league baseball era, having been where "Shoeless" Joe Jackson first played. The July 17th home stand opener will be one day after what would have been Joe's 126th birthday.

Additional players who got their start in the Upstate textile leagues before playing in Major League Baseball were Lou Brissie and Joe Anders.

Tickets for the Wednesday, July 17th game can be purchased by visiting the Fluor Field Box Office, calling (864) 240-4528, or by logging onto GreenvilleDrive.com.
