OnPoint Home Run Challenge Officially Underway!

Drive blast first homers at Fluor Field of 2013 on Wednedsay
April 25, 2013

Thanks to home runs by Drive players Mookie Betts and Aneury Tavarez on Wednesday night, the 2013 OnPoint Home Run Challenge has officially begun! The home runs signal the first donations of the 2013 season by OnPoint, totaling $200.

For the fourth consecutive season, OnPoint CFO and Controller Services has pledged to turn Greenville Drive home runs into donations for Upstate charities. OnPoint will donate $100 for every home run a Drive player hits at Fluor Field, while a grand slam equals a $500 donation.

In partnership with the Greenville Drive, the OnPoint Home Run Challenge has donated more than $10,000 to Upstate charities since hitting the field in 2010. Past beneficiaries include the Mauldin Miracle League, the South Carolina Children's Theatre and Safe Harbor.

Individuals, groups and companies are encouraged to "Join the Challenge" by pledging donations of any size and amount for the 2013 Drive season. Whether it's a per-home run pledge, a one-time donation, or part of a corporate sponsorship, donations are always welcome. Let's make the 2013 OnPoint Home Run Challenge the best yet!
