The Durham Bulls will host a Touch A Truck event on Sunday, July 14 at 3 p.m. in conjunction with local public safety agencies. The event will precede the team's contest that evening at 5:05 p.m. against the Norfolk Tides, in which Kids Run the Bases follows the contest.

That afternoon Blackwell St., located immediately outside the DBAP, is scheduled to be filled with more than 15 vehicles from local agencies, including a search and recovery trailer, K9 SUV, fire truck and more. The event is designed to allow children of all ages to touch and explore vehicles of their choice, while also learning about the vehicles and employees who operate them.

Agencies scheduled to be in attendance include the Durham PD, Durham County Sherriff's Office, North Carolina Forest Service, Durham County Emergency Medical Services, Durham Fire Department, Bahama Volunteer Fire Department, Durham County Fire Marshal and Emergency Management and Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department.
