Allentown, PA --- Austin Meadows homered and scored twice to lead Durham to a 2-0 victory over Lehigh Valley on Wednesday night at Coca Cola Park.
Meadows broke up the scoreless game in the third by swatting Drew Anderson's pitch over the right field wall for his fourth home run in 13 games since being acquired from Pittsburgh.
In the eighth, Durham (67-52) added a run of insurance when Meadows doubled into the right field corner, then scored on a single to right-center by Brandon Snyder.
Chih-Wei Hu (W, 4-7) worked 5 1/3 scoreless innings to notch his first win since June 28th. Hu wiggled off a first inning hook, striking out the powerful trio of Mitch Walding, Joey Meneses and Dylan Cozens to strand runners at second and third.
Mike Franco (S, 1) recorded his first Triple-A save by recordinig the final five outs.
The Bulls won the series 2-1, handing Lehigh Valley (73-49) its first home series loss since being swept by Toledo June 1st-3rd. The Iron Pigs had been unbeaten in their last nine home series.
