Indianapolis, IN --- Andrew Moore worked his longest start since being acquired, while Brandon Lowe homered for the second straight game as Durham beat Indianapolis 6-1 on Friday night at Victory Field.
Moore (W, 2-2) permitted five hits over six innings en route to his second victory since he was acquired from Seattle by Tampa Bay in late May.
After a run-scoring double from Ryan Lavarnway in the Indians (39-32) first inning, Lowe tugged a two-run shot in the second against Indianapolis starter Alex McRae (L, 2-7) to shoot the Bulls (40-31) to a 2-1 lead.
Two Bulls catchers combined for three RBI, with Nick Ciuffo doubling in a run, and after being replaced by Adam Moore, a two-run double to deep left-center in the seventh inning boosted the Durham lead to 6-1.
Colin Poche (S, 1) worked three perfect innings, fanning five, to record his first career Triple-A save.
After Norfolk bombed Louisville 16-1, the Bulls' South Division lead maintained at 2 1/2 games.
Hunter Wood starts Saturday night's middle game of the series against JT Brubaker at 7:05 PM ET.
