Anticipated Annual Event Highlights Four-Game Series with Yankees Affiliate
May 11, 2015

The Durham Bulls return home to the DBAP on Thursday, May 14 to begin a four-game series with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Star Wars Night, Friday Night Fireworks and appearances by popular PBS Kids characters Super WHY! and Sid the Science Kid highlight the event schedule.

On May 14, the Bulls begin their only home series of the year against the RailRiders, top affiliate of the New York Yankees. The 7:05 p.m. game is presented by Durham County Social Services. Thursday's contest also features the return of $1 concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda, and popcorn are just a buck. In addition, Thursdays are College Nights where students can get a Terrace View ticket and $5 in Bulls Bucks for just $11 or an Outfield Reserved ticket for only $5.99 by entering the promo code COLLEGE (and using a valid .edu email address) when purchasing tickets online in advance at durhambulls.com. Finally, fans take advantage of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC True Blue Thursday promotion, where they can get a game ticket and exclusive cap for just $11.

This Friday's contest between the Bulls and Riders is presented by Triangle Orthopaedic Associates. Friday Night Fireworks, sponsored by Bruce Hill of RE/MAX One Realty, will follow the 7:05 p.m. game on the 15th.

One of the most highly anticipated annual promotions occurs on Saturday, May 16, as Star Wars Night returns to the DBAP. Fans can take photos and interact with their favorite Star Wars characters while being entertained by in-game features from a galaxy far, far away. During the event, the Bulls will sport full C-3PO themed uniforms, which include jerseys, pants, socks, and hats inspired by the goldenrod protocol droid. The game-worn jerseys will be available in both in-game and online auctions, with all proceeds going to the Autism Society of North Carolina. Saturday's 5:05 p.m. game is presented by Lane & Associates Family Dentistry.

The series and homestand conclude on Sunday, May 17 with a family fun-filled 1:05 p.m. game. Sun Tan City presents SUNSational Sunday, an afternoon contest featuring postgame Kids Run the Bases sponsored by Nature's Twist. During the game, kids can meet popular PBS Kids characters Super WHY! and Sid the Science Kid, who will make an appearance at the DBAP thanks to UNC-TV.
