With the threat of rain late Friday evening, the Durham Bulls home game scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23 at 7:05 p.m. against the Gwinnett Stripers has been moved up to a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. Gates will still open at 6 p.m. With both Durham and Gwinnett in a playoff race, both front offices, coaching staffs and the International League agreed to the early start time to ensure the game is played.

All Bunch of Jerks Night promotions are scheduled to run normally, and the jersey auction benefiting the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation will still conclude at 9 p.m.

The Durham Bulls and Carolina Hurricanes have partnered to bring Bunch of Jerks Night to Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Friday, August 23.

Following a memorable partnership in 2018 when the DBAP hosted the ninth-largest paid crowd in stadium history, and an Eastern Conference Finals run in the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs for the Hurricanes, the Bulls will celebrate Hockey Night at the DBAP, complete with specially-designed jerseys. The team will wear black jerseys and hats on field, modeled after Carolina's alternate black uniforms. Before and throughout the contest game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, with all proceeds benefiting the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation.

Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. All jerseys will be signed by the players who wore them. Fans can bid on jerseys from anywhere in the world from their computer or mobile device, and can see a list of all available uniforms here. The auction will remain open until 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23. All winners who attend the game should report to the stadium's front lobby at the conclusion of the game to receive their autographed, game-worn jersey, and all fans who are not in attendance can receive their jersey in the mail in the coming weeks. Fans not in attendance can pay for shipping via the auction site, or can contact Nico Tennant at [email protected] with any questions. Fans who would like to donate but are not interested in owning a game-worn jersey can make a donation via the auction site as well.

NOTE: Jersey numbers and players are subject to change based on roster moves.

A select number of hats and replica jerseys will be sold, in addition to the jersey auction. Hats and replica jerseys can be pre-ordered now, and are not yet available at the Ballpark Corner Store. Pickup/shipping dates are found in the product description online.
