Dust Devils Announce 2017 Schedule

Dust Devils' Home Opener June 20th

The Tri-City Dust Devils and the Northwest League have released the schedule for the 2017 season. The Dust Devils will open on the road at Salem-Keizer on Thursday, June 15th. Opening Night at Gesa Stadium will be Tuesday, June 20th versus the Spokane Indians. Tri-City will end the season at home Sunday, September 3rd versus the Vancouver Canadians. Other highlights include the annual July 3rd game and seven Friday and six Saturday night games.

2017 will mark the third year of the Dust Devils affiliation with the San Diego Padres. The first year of that partnership proved to be a success as the Dust Devils were the 2015 NWL North Division Champions. In 2016 the Dust Devils saw three first round draft picks; Cal Quantrill (RHP), Hudson Potts (INF) and Eric Lauer (LHP).

The Northwest League vs. Pioneer League All-Star Game will return for the 2017 season. Last season the All-Star Game was hosted by the Ogden Raptors, the first All-Star Game hosted in the Pioneer League. This year's version of the game will move back to the Northwest League and be hosted by the Hillsboro Hops on Tuesday, August 1st.   The All-Star Game will pit the top talent from the eight-team Pioneer League against the best players from the eight-team Northwest League.

The Dust Devils play in the Northwest League North division along with the Everett AquaSox, Spokane Indians, and Vancouver Canadians. The South division is comprised of the Boise Hawks, Eugene Emeralds, Hillsboro Hops, and Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Teams play in-division opponents 12 times each and out-of-division opponents 10 times each.

Once again the Northwest League season will be divided into a first half, which ends July 23rd, and a second half which ends September 3rd. The winners of each 38-game half in each division advance to the Northwest League playoffs.

2016 marked a record setting season for the Dust Devils in the stands with a record 86,886 fans enjoyed Dust Devils Baseball during the season. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early by purchasing a ticket package.
