Hawks Prove Too Much at the Plate

June 15, 2014

The Tri-City Dust Devils could not match Boise on offense Saturday night, falling 10-5 on the road to the Hawks. Three Tri-City pitchers combined to allow fourteen hits to the Hawks in the loss. The Dust Devils pounced on four walks and four wild pitches in the sixth inning to score four runs, but despite the big inning Tri-City was never able to take the lead in the game.

Tyler Gagnon will look to get the first win of the season for the Dust Devils on Sunday. He will be countered by Trevor Clifton for Boise. The Dust Devils return to Gesa Stadium on Wednesday for the home opener against the Everett AquaSox. There will be a schedule magnet giveaway courtesy of Pizza Hut and postgame fireworks after the game Wednesday presented by C-O Energy. The home opener begins an eight-game homestand for the Dust Devils. Tickets for the series are available by calling (509) 544-8789 or at www.dustdevilsbaseball.com. Catch all the action Sunday night on Newstalk 870 KFLD or online at www.dustdevilsbaseball.com. Pregame coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch set for 6:15 p.m.
