Offense Goes Quiet in Loss to Eugene

June 22, 2013

The Tri-City Dust Devils struggled at the plate on Saturday night, producing just one run and four hits in the 8-1 loss to the Eugene Emeralds. Sean Dwyer drove home Mike Tauchman with a double to bring home the lone run of the game for the Dust Devils in the seventh inning. The Emeralds did the bulk of their damage against Tri-City starter Ryan Warner, who suffered the loss after allowing six runs in five innings.

Konner Wade will get the start for the Dust Devils on Sunday in the fourth game of the five-game series against the Emeralds. It will be the professional debut for the right-hander out of the University of Arizona. Righty Brian Verbitsky will get the nod for Eugene.
