Behind a fabulous performance from starting pitcher Henry Henry the Tri-City Dust Devils shutout the Everett AquaSox 3-0 on Friday night at Gesa Stadium. Henry threw seven scoreless innings to help lead the team to their Northwest League-high third shutout of the season.
The Dust Devils were able to take the lead in the bottom of the second inning. Luis Anguizola hit a two-out double that brought home Jalen Washington to give Tri-City the early advantage. The Dust Devils would cling to the one-run lead until the eighth inning. Luis Almanzar drove in two runs with a double that gave Tri-City a pair of insurance runs. The bullpen was able to continue the pitching staff's dominance after Henry came out of the game following the seventh inning. Trevor Megill and Joe Galindo each tossed a scoreless frame to keep Everett off the scoreboard.
The Dust Devils will now hit the road to start a five-game series with the Boise Hawks.
