Tri-City Drops Lopsided Affair

The Tri-City Dust Devils struggled on the mound Friday night, allowing a season-high 20 hits in a 15-4 loss to the Hillsboro Hops. Tri-City scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but the Hops answered back with six runs in the bottom of the first, taking a lead they would not relinquish. Sean Dwyer produced at the plate for the Dust Devils, reaching safely in all five at bats with two walks and three hits.

The series at Hillsboro Ballpark continues on Saturday night with the third game of the series. Northwest League All-Star Johendi Jiminian will start for the Dust Devils. Braden Shipley will toe the rubber for the Hops. The team will return home Tuesday, August 13th to face the Spokane Indians.
