Hinojosa Added To Western Division Roster

Manchester, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, have announced an addition to the 2017 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Roster.

The All-Star Game will be hosted at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on July 12 at 7:05 p.m. The All-Star festivities also feature an Army vs. Celebrity Softball Game and Jordan's Furniture Tempur-Pedic Home Run Derby on July 11.

SS C.J. Hinojosa of the Richmond Flying Squirrels (Giants) has been added to the Western Division All-Star Team. Ranked No. 14 among Giants prospects by MLB.com and No. 15 by Baseball America, the 22-year-old is batting .295 with a .356 on-base percentage in his first full season in Double-A. Hinojosa heads toward the All-Star break on a four-game hitting streak, going 9-for-18 (.500) with a homer and three RBIs during that stretch.

The addition of Hinojosa corresponds with the promotion of Flying Squirrels third baseman Miguel Gomez, who has been promoted to the San Francisco Giants.

Past Eastern League All-Stars include Jon Lester (2005), Hanley Ramirez (2005), Jonathan Papelbon (2005), Matt Garza (2006), Madison Bumgarner (2009), Brandon Crawford (2010), Francisco Lindor (2014), Gary Sanchez (2014-15) and many more. 

The Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Classic begins on Tuesday, July 11 at 5 p.m. with the Celebrity vs. Army Softball game. The Jordan's Furniture - Tempur-Pedic Home Run Derby, which gives eight lucky fans the chance to win a Tempur-Pedic mattress valued at $2,800, will begin at 6:30 p.m. First pitch of the Eastern League All-Star Game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12.
