Manchester, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball, have announced an addition to the 2017 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Roster.
The All-Star Game will be hosted at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. The All-Star festivities also feature an Army vs. Celebrity Softball Game and Jordan's Furniture Tempur-Pedic HR Derby on Tuesday.

LHP Williams Jerez (her-ez) of the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) has been added to the Eastern Division All-Star Team. A second round pick in 2011, Jerez was originally drafted as an outfielder, but has impressed since being converted to a pitcher. Last season, he ranked as high as No. 19 on MLB.com's list of Red Sox prospects, and was a member of Boston's 40-man roster. This year, he's putting together one of his best Double-A seasons with a 2-0 record and 3.46 ERA.
The addition of Jerez corresponds with the promotion of Trenton LHP Nestor Cortes, who has been called up to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Past Eastern League All-Stars include Jon Lester (2005), Hanley Ramirez (2005), Jonathan Papelbon (2005), Matt Garza (2006), Madison Bumgarner (2009), Brandon Crawford (2010), Francisco Lindor (2014), Gary Sanchez (2014-15) and many more.
The Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Classic begins on Tuesday, July 11 at 5 p.m. with the Celebrity vs. Army Softball game. The Jordan's Furniture - Tempur-Pedic Home Run Derby, which gives eight lucky fans the chance to win a Tempur-Pedic mattress valued at $2,800, will begin at 6:30 p.m. First pitch of the Eastern League All-Star Game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12.
