Sasquatch Throwdown Coming to PK Park

March 7, 2013

The Eugene Emeralds Baseball Club in collaboration with TrackTown Crossfit have announced plans for the inaugural Sasquatch Throwdown at PK Park on August 17th and 18th. The Throwdown is a 2-day RX only competition with no scaled divisions.  The Open Tournament will include winner-take-all $1,000 cash prizes in four divisions.  Those divisions include Individual RX Men and RX Women and 2-person RX Teams of Men and Women. The event will showcase the best Northwest Athletes from various Crossfit Affiliated Boxes competing in four grueling workouts.

"We are always looking for new events to host at the stadium.  TrackTown Crossfit is a great partner for an event showcasing this growing sport here in the Northwest," said General Manager Allan Benavides.

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning regiment that uses functional movements to help an individual or athlete succeed in their health and fitness. This is done by ever changing varied functional movements executed at high intensity.

Co owner of TrackTown Crossfit John Jenkins commented, "We are excited to see who is the fittest in the Northwest.  PK Park is going to be a great venue for spectators to enjoy the competition."

Online Athlete Registration for the Sasquatch Throwdown will open online Monday, March 25th. For more information and updates on registration, like the Sasquatch Throwdown page on Facebook.  Direct link:   HERE
