The 2019 season featured a record number of fans attending PK Park as well as a 9th straight Larry MacPhail Award nomination for the best marketing and promotions in the Northwest League for the Eugene Emeralds. Today, Minor League Baseball delivered another bit of exciting news for the Sasquatch-stompin' organization, as the Emeralds' road cap finished in the top 10 in sales nationally in Minor League Baseball.

Across 160 teams, Minor League caps provide fans with limitless options, especially with the amount of new promotions, identities, and alternate logos that have hit the industry as a whole. Yet, the Sasquatch-themed logo has been a mainstay amongst the more popular caps in baseball. You can see the complete list here.
"It's a fun logo," said Allan Benavides, General Manager of the team. "I mean, it's somewhat angry, but it's a bit ridiculous. Like how big is Sasquatch that he is biting through a redwood tree? It's just a fun logo."
Among the top 10 caps from 2019, only 2 feature caps that are not from new identities created in 2019 or new franchises (Wilmington and Eugene), which speaks to the staying power of the Emeralds' branding.
Before the 2017 season, the Emeralds decided to add white trimming to all logos and hats, helping each moniker to stand out a bit more from the normally dark backgrounds. The original Sasquatch-related branding came to Eugene ahead of the 2013 season.
